ARC is pleased to announce the latest iteration of its competition electric touring car - the R11 2019 4WD electric touring car chassis. The car features several updates such as the lower bulkheads that incorporate a lower mounting position for ball-bearing supported anti-roll bars which lowers the overall centre of gravity. There is also a the new front bumper design that reduces scrubbing during hard cornering for increased steering.
There is a new 20T centre pulley moulded from high-quality composite material which replace the previous alloy pulley for lower weight and improved acceleration while still retaining a smooth power supply. New in the suspension department are updated front steering knuckles and rear uprights with the front blocks featuring interchangeable carbon fibre Ackerman plates for greater tuning possibilities. The new front steering block also allows drivers to adjust the axle height by adding/removing shims, while the new rear upright comes with a single one-hole position at the inside hole of the old upright. The new rear uprights are also designed to give more precise rear toe angle and stronger resistance against impact forces.
Also new for the 2019 kit are ultra short shocks that have been designed to give quicker response while using the same springs as the previous short shock. Two different rear shock towers are included - the standard using long lower ball ends which provide more traction and more rotation, while the optional rear shock tower uses short lower ball ends, giving the car quicker response which is desirable in higher traction conditions and tracks with lots of chicanes.
There is also a new optional floating receiver and ESC mount that has been designed to mount the receiver and speedo onto the centrally mounted floating plate. The part minimises heat transfer from the ESC to the chassis and allows the main plate to flex more evenly. The floating receiver/ESC mount also allows drivers to easily swap the electronics over to another chassis. It is also available in a brass version, handy for weight/balance adjustment.
